1st Annual Magic 94.9 Misfit Movember Mustache Bash!
Movember was a great success thanks to you! The Misfits raised over $2100 online...with "Mr. Movember" honours going to Kentville Mayor Dave Corkum...who raised $1000!
Thanks to all the "Mo Bros"...Kings West MLA Leo Glavine for his support...and Joey Murphy and the gang from Lew Murphy's for hosting our party, growing the Mo's...and helping support and fund-raise for Prostate Cancer Canada. Thanks to Kevin Bennet from the Town of Kentville for showing his support by growing a Mo' that 80's adult film stars would be proud of...and to Amanda Misner for re"MO"ving the Mo's.

Furry Friday!!
Magic 94.9's Erin Sullivan and Jen Pick feature this week's furry friends!
Meet Codi (black) and Charlie (tabby)! These two both will sadly lose an eye due to infection, and need your help in order to get this operation. Please give to the LANA Fund, which helps provide extra care for the S.P.C.A's animals that need it like Codi and Charlie.
Visit www.kingscountyspca.com or call 538-9075 to help.

Movember week one photos
Mike "I got a head start" Mitchell
Hunter "Captain Furry Lip" Brule
Ron "Wearin' it Proud" Deluney
Brian "is there dirt on my lip?" Abernethy
Gary " I grew this since breakfast" Caven
Andrew " Don Juan" Johnson
Len Hawley...voice of "The March of Mustaches"
As we strut through week two, a little compassion and understanding is needed from all. For Mo Bros not used to a moustache, this is the week where things might get a little uncomfortable as things start to itch where you’re not used to them itching. Though this is the normal process as your little bit of lip luxury lays down its foundations, it can put some people off. This is where a supportive Mo Sista is needed to step in with words and a wink of encouragement. Like all great men and women when faced with adversity, this is not the time to look away feebly and not the time to reach for the razor. It is a time to stand tall, look the itch in the eye and say “come and get me”. It’s a week of adjustment for everyone - Mo Bros and Sistas and their loved ones and donors. Movember wills you to stay strong and committed to the almighty Mo.
