Middleton Relay For Life

Thanks to EHS...we still had our eye on the game!

Hope...it's why we're here...

I had the honour of emceeing the 2010 Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Middleton this past weekend. I couldn't believe after all the rain that we'd had, that the skies cleared and we had a perfect night for the relay. I also couldn't believe the spirit and generosity of the teams and the courage and strenghth of the hundreds of survivors in attendance. The Middleton relay for Life raised $180,000! That along with $60,000 from Digby and $60,000 from Windsor...the valley Relays raised $300,000!..and Kentville is still to come this weekend.

Thank you to everyone who made the event another great success!

Above is Quack Bauer, Magic 94.9's entry in the Corporate Duck Race. Quack finished a respectful 15th out of 150 entries, finishing in 17 minutes, 5 seconds. Merk's Enterprises finished first, and Shirley Curry was the $5000 dollar winner in the family race!

A gaggle of Misfits and I kicked off the Apple Blossom Festival at AgriFun Old Time Country Fair at the Kentville Centennial Arena. It was Hunter and Andrew against Jerry and Kayla in a battle of endurance, stamina and buoyancy...
