Back to School SUMO STYLE!!!

Jerry and myself sporting our Toronto and Montreal-coloured diapers. Coincidence? I think not.

Andrew Foote rockin' it Sumo-style.

This girl wanted to challenge her dad!

...and she won! (I personally think her dad rigged the match ;)

The Magic 94.9 Misfits celebrated Back-to-School at the Greenwood Mall with a little help from Glow Parties. Months of training came down to a best-of-five match against Jerry Neville. Besides Jerry's EXTREMELY (heehee) unfair weight advantage...I am proud to say, that although I tuffed it out, I was able to win two of of the five rounds, until Jerry discovered the fierce "step-aside-so-Hunter-just-falls-over move. Cruiser guy Andrew Foote also went toe-to-tow with a 15-year old...and just barely lived to tell about it this morning on the Early Show.

I'll let the pictures and video do the talking.

Need some..."Me time?"

Drop your man off at the theatre, give him the $5.99 and popcorn money if he so deserves, and tell him you'll see him in two hours. He will get a chance to see "The Expendables"...and you will get some much-deserved "you-time".

Fellow Misfit Andrew Foote and myself checked out the all-out, testosterone-filled, action overdose starring Sylvester Stallone, and his fellow cast of aging action stars, which included a cameo role by the Governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. I grew up watching Rambo, Commando..wrestling and martial arts movies, so for me it was great to be reunited with these old guys I used to spend hours on hours with in between games of Contra on my Nintendo NES.

The Expendables is full of senseless action, explosions and cheesy one-liners ("...I got a text"...) and that's what I was hoping for.

So go ahead...drop him off...your man will love this movie, and you'll I'm sure, love the one hour and 50 minutes to yourself :)

MAGIC 94.9'S LEN HAWLEY HOSTING THE MISS VALLEY EX CONTEST
YOU CAN NAME THESE ALPACAS...WE THOUGHT JERRY AND HUNTER WOULD BE A GOOD COUPLE OF NAMES FOR THIS FURRY DUO.
...I THINK THESE TWO KNEW I JUST HAD THE ANGUS STEAK SANDWICH AT THE CAPITAL PUB...THEY DON'T LOOK IMPRESSED.

NEWSMAN BRIAN MUMFORD SHOWING NO FEAR BEFORE THE STEER COMPETITION

Magic 94.9's newsman Brian Mumford made us proud last night at the Ex in Lawrencetown, scoring a very respectable 5.90 in the Steer riding competition in the main ring. Magic 94.9's Jerry Neville was also in the show...hiding behind the lovely ladies who were judging the contest disguised as a rodeo clown. Once those pictures of Jerry are inspected, sensored and passed as 'acceptable for web viewing', I will post them here.

Annapolis Valley Exhibition 2010 is Underway...

"Show Window of the Valley" 84 Years and Growing...is the official program slogan...which would also describe the Grand Street parade that myself and my fellow Misfits took in last night through the streets of Lawrencetown.

In what reminds me of the "Daytona 500" of exhibitions...The Annapolis Valley Ex has their biggest event at the beginning of the week, just like the 500 being the biggest Nascar event of the year at the start of their season, and what a great way to kick off the week! Floats from all over the Valley were represented and displayed proudly as they wound their way through downtown Lawrencetown. And among them...the Magic 94.9 Tim Horton's Community Cruiser as driven by Andrew Foote...the same cruiser you could win just by filling out a ballot!

Just look for Andrew and the Magi c94.9 Community Cruiser this week at the Ex, and fill out your ballot for a chance to win it!

Many laughs!

Rented the new "Death at a Funeral" remake last night, as television after "Last Comic Standing" wrapped up, has been everything short of worth watching.

Let me tell you, I haven't laughed harder, since I saw Magic 94.9's Jerry Neville hooked up to a portable bungie cord during Apple Blossom.

I don't want to give ANYTHING away...but just want to tell you that after your children are in bed, throw this title in and you'll be talking about it around your office tomorrow.

The Leopard 2...Canada's newest armoured fighting vehicle...

Saturday I had the pleasure of being on remote at Camp Aldershot for their 4th Annual Open House. It was my first time on the base, and had a great time. It's the one day a year that the base opens up to the public, and puts on demonstrations and displays to educate and entertain its visitors.

From the Sea King arriving from C.F.B. Shearwater, to the Leopard 2, Canada's newest armoured fighting vehicle, to lunch from a real military Field Kitchen, even a special visit from Miss Nova Scotia Galaxy...it was a very well-attended event, by the smiles on the little camoflauged-painted faces... it was a lot of fun too!

Thanks to Capt. Mike Chalmers, Camp Commander Major Troy Kennedy, Warrant Officer Peter Dingle, Commanding Officer of the West Nova Scotia Regiment Col. George Thompson, Sgt. Loretta Heartz, who was the O.P.I. of waste Mgt, and every one of the forces personnel who were very welcoming, and helped make the day a great one!
